This company used to be known as The Story Teller but changed the name in 2005. We refer to Story Time Felts but they are one and the same!

Story Time Felts was established in 1988, when founders Lori and Dale Whiting first saw printed felt products at a convention. The vivid colors and intricate detail amazed Lori. The felt visual aids she saw were so stunning that she just had to reach out and touch them. She knew that if she were that excited about the products, others would be, too.

Patti Gardner had a similar experience when she was first introduced to the products later that year. Patti and her husband Jeff shared the Whitings' vision and in 1989 they became partners. In the beginning, their garages served as warehouses. Then in August of 1992, the Whitings and Gardners moved their families from Idaho and Nevada to Salem, Utah, where the company headquarters are now located.

In 1990, the company purchased its own heat transfer press. This meant that Story Time Felts could now design and print its own felt products - which is exactly what they did! Before the year was out, the first exclusive Story Time Felts product was launched. It was the Brenda Doll. She was a best seller for years and is still available by special order, though the more modern Jessica doll has taken her place in our catalog.

Over the years, the company has enjoyed tremendous success as it has matured and progressed right along with the children who have enjoyed over a decade of "See, Touch, Listen, and Learn" with Story Time Felts. It many ways, it barely resembles the fledgling home business that the Whitings and Gardners started.
