Schools and Preschools

Approaching Schools is really pretty easy! First make a list of the Elementary Schools and preschools in your area. For the Elementary Schools, There are two options that are good. 1) Make an appointment with the School Principle. Take a few Story Time Felts Products with you to show them. It is very common to set up a display in the teachers lounge for the Teachers to buy your products, So he may love this option, or he may decide to use his School funding to buy for every class! Every School has government funded money they can use EVERY year! THEY HAVE TO USE THIS MONEY, OR THEY LOOSE IT!

This is a great time of year to approach schools to get that funded money. 2) The other option is to approach the School Librarian! They love our products and usually have many ideas right away on how to implement them in the School! Then the Librarian will help you with the Principle. She knows how much the Teachers will love the felt! I have also been able to sign up a couple of School Librarians!

You can offer her a free felt program for the library, from the sales of the Teachers!

For Preschools you should contact the Director. Make an appointment to show her your products. DON'T JUST SEND A CATALOG! This will not get the results you want.

Tell them you will bring them a catalog to keep, but you do not just send out your catalogs until they can see a sample. You have to let them see the felt! Once they do, they will be eager to share it with their Teachers. I also offer to do a FELT FAIR for them. Set up a display with products, and lots of take home catalogs. Give the free felt, and, or 10% or 15%, what ever you want to, back to the preschool! Make up a flyer that explains what the school is getting in return for the orders. Have the preschool send this flyer home with every child announcing your arrival! You could also agree to come in and do a story time for kids and parents during this week. This will boost sales too! You do all the work, and the Directors usually love it! Give them a sample to use in the preschool for a week. The Dolls have been a huge hit with a couple of my preschools! Also the farm fun series! You can get the farm fun series as a half off item!

This is a perfect time to start approaching Schools, SO GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY!

If you wait to long, the red tape will run into the end of the year.

Also, if you want immediate sales, the Preschools are the best place to start.
