Ten Little Angels Poem

Ten little Christmas Angels sent from heaven above,
Each brings a gift that represents God's love.
This little angel has the sniffles and doesn't feel so fine,
He stays back to make some cards and then there were nine.

Nine joyous angels remember an especially bright star,
That shone on the wise men giving the sign of a king that was born afar.
The message this little angel goes to spread is not one of hate,
He goes to spread the good news and then there were only eight.

Eight happy angels circle around a beautiful evergreen tree,
Remembering that it represents that life will everlastingly be.
One little angel is taking the tree back up to heaven,
He knows just where to put it and then there were just seven.

Seven sharing angels admire Santa and his sleigh,
Knowing Santa's message is, "Giving is a happier way."
One stayed behind because there is something he can fix,
Leaving our little angel count down to only six.

Six hungry angels plan some yummy sweets to make,
They sift and stir and measure their treats they decorate.
Thinking of an elderly man, this angel can't wait to arrive,
Bringing the sweets to his door and then there were only five.

Five busy angels working together with the greatest care,
Sewing eyes and a button nose on a very cute teddy bear.
Checking their list they see they will need to make a few more,
One takes off to get the supplies and then there were just four.

Four restless angels decide it's time to take a little break,
They hop on their toboggan and zoom towards the lake.
Slipping down oh so fast and screaming out with glee,
One takes off for another run and then there were only three.

Three Christmas angels join together a sweet melody they sing,
Visiting home after home sharing the joy only a song can bring.
One walk is covered with white snow and this angel knows what to do,
He stays behind to shovel it off and now we are down to two.

Two little angels help decorate a tree with twinkling lights,
Seeing in the children's eyes the reflection oh so bright.
They wrapped some presents, sing and dance and have a lot of fun,
This little angel stays to play and now there is only one.

One little angel can feel in his heart the time has almost come,
When all Christian hearts will celebrate the birth of a special son.
Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, Savior and King,
Let us all remember the joy that knowing Him can bring.

One lonesome angel who remained up in heaven that night,
Calls to the rest to come back home and quickly they take flight.
Together they join their voices in joyous songs above,
If you listen with your heart you will feel of their divine love.
