Vancouver, WA --- Storytelling is an age-old powerful teaching modality that is guaranteed to touch the mind and heart of a child. Imagine sitting before a captive audience of children and watching their eyes light up and facial expressions change as you share a story. Karen Salomon, owner of Fun Felt For Kids, an independent Consultant of Story Time Felts products, started her home-based Consultantship in December 1998, after having been introduced to the educational products only a few short months before. In February 2000, at Story Time Felts convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Salomon was awarded the companyís prestigious Stargazer Award in appreciation for sharing her creative ideas. Salomonís creative concepts included taking the company to the Internet, http://www.funfelt.com . Although a few other Consultants had built websites prior to Salomon's arrival on the scene, Salomon's online presence seemed to flourish quickly. In just over a year, Salomon has built an organization of over 200 new Consultants and still recruiting!

Patti Gardner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Story Time Felts, states, "Karen was awarded one of the highest company awards in 1999, the Stargazer, for her outstanding leadership in successfully combining the Internet with a home party business. Although Salomon's sales are still primarily accomplished through direct interactive demonstrations, the website has enhanced her business and allowed her to take it to higher levels in a short period of time.

Story telling encourages children to read and opens doors to the world of literature. Story telling combined with felt play is fun for both the listeners and Story Time Felts! "Too often children are passive and expect to be entertained," relates Salomon. "These colorful and artistically designed products stimulate their imaginations as they listen to the stories and create their own." In essence, felt captures the children's attention, gives them something creative and quiet to play with, and helps them focus and concentrate, all while learning and having fun!
